Best Time to Visit

Moremi Game Reserve is best from **June to October** when the Okavango Delta floodwaters arrive, creating a spectacular contrast of water and wildlife. **July to September** is peak season — dry land areas concentrate game while flooded channels offer incredible mokoro and boat experiences. **April to May** is the secret season with good game, green landscapes, and lower rates. **November to March** brings summer rains, lush vegetation, and excellent birding.

Budget Guide

Park fees $15/adult/day. Campsites $50/night. Mobile safari operators $250-500/day. Mid-range lodges $350-700/night. Luxury camps (Mombo, Xigera) $1,000-3,000/night all-inclusive. Self-drive is possible but requires a well-equipped 4x4.

Getting There

Fly into Third Bridge, Xakanaxa, or Khwai airstrips from Maun (20-40 minutes). Self-drive is possible via South Gate from Maun (3-4 hours on sand tracks — 4x4 essential, two spare tyres recommended). During the flood season (June-September) some tracks become impassable. Most visitors combine Moremi with Chobe.
