Visit year-round, but the **dry winter months (May to September)** are best for game viewing as vegetation thins and animals gather at waterholes. **June to August** offers cool, comfortable weather ideal for walking safaris. **November to March** is the green season — lush and beautiful for birding, but thicker bush makes wildlife harder to spot. The park is malaria-risk so precautions are advised in the wet season.

Getting There
2.5 hours north of Durban via the N2. King Shaka International Airport (Durban) is the nearest major airport. Richards Bay domestic airport is 1 hour away. Self-drive is the most popular way to explore. Enter via either the Memorial Gate (south) or Nyalazi Gate (east).
